NCAA Rankings 2017-18
141: Yianni Makes His Move
Every weight at the CKLV was loaded with ranked studs, but this was especially true at 141 pounds. True freshman Yianni Diakomihalis won the bracket coming from the fifth seed, taking out No. 3 Bryce Meredith in the semifinals. Yianni's statement-making performance earns him the three spot. Josh Alber's runner-up finish sends him from 12th to seventh, and Mason Smith's fifth-place CKLV finish is good for the No. 9 spot.
Nick Zanetta and Kanen Storr acquitted themselves nicely, proving how deep the field was by rising in the rankings after finishing sixth and eight in Vegas, respectively.
Luke Karam makes an appearance at No. 20 thanks to his win over Jared Cortez.
