NCAA Rankings 2018-19
133 Seth Gross
Nick Suriano won matches up at 133 over the weekend, so that's the weight class in which we've ranked him. With only two losses in his career (not counting injury defaults, for all our eagle-eyed pendants out there), the national runner-up slots into the #2 spot ahead of the convalescent Stevan Micic.
Most of the movement was in the bottom half of the rankings. Cam Sykora's win over Colin Valdiviez brings the Wildcat sophomore down several notches. Korbin Myers also took a hit after his loss to unranked Noah Gonser of Campbell at the Hokie Open.
Matt Schmitt of West Virginia had a great weekend, winning in the Mountaineer's season-opening dual and then taking the 133-pound title a title at the Hokie Open. He was only pushed out of the rankings by Suriano's inclusion, and will be the next guy should someone else falter.
