#1 Richard Figueroa (CA) continued to own the rivalry with #2 Joey Cruz (CA) in the CIF finals. Figueroa went wire-to-wire this folkstyle season at 113lbs. 

#4 Gary Steen (PA) took the most recent bout over #5 Brett Ungar (PA). The bout was a semifinal in AA and the two took first and 3rd. Joey Fischer (PA) made a late season drop to 113lbs and didn’t find a resume boosting win at the weight. He was right there with Steen in the finals, but didn’t quite close it out.

#15 Tyler Klinsky (NJ) turned a Sam Cali Memorial loss around in the New Jersey state finals. He knocked off #16 Kelly Dunnigan. Almost the entire back half of the ranking creates a ranker’s delight if you examine any three wrestlers. 

#13 Zeth Romney (CA) jumped up to the thirteenth spot with a solid finish of 3rd at the CIF Championships. He also took home a 5 Counties title this year, so it wasn’t his first resume building wins of the year.
