PIAA: AAA 106-Pounds

There has been no shortage of action here in the Keystone State to open the first couple weekends of the season. There have been quite a few early-season tests that most of the top teams and guys have been participating in. Although there are a few unknowns with certain teams and where guys are going to be competing at due to injuries or no early-season competitions, there is certainly enough to report on. If there are any additions or anything that I have missed, as always, do not hesitate to reach out.

Mac Church remains #1 at this weight after a finals appearance at the prestigious Ironman. Although he does have three losses on the year, none of them were to wrestlers who compete in the PIAA classifications, and he has bested some high-level opponents on the way to second at the Ironman, and fifth at the Beast. Allison was the champion at the King of the Mountain with a win over #7 Cunningham in the finals. Connor Werner won the Penn Manor Tourney while Sirianni, Abington Heights, won the Lackawanna conference tournament. Moving into the rankings is Gino Serafini after a couple wins over Nasdeo on his way to a third-place finish at “KOM.” There will continue to be some influx in the coming weeks with the growth allowance bringing some of the upperclassmen back down.
