Magomed Sharipov was the surprise winner of the Ranking Series tournament in Kyrgyzstan in a field that included world medalists Abubakr Abakarov and Azamat Dauletbekov. However, Sharipov didn't wrestle either of those opponents since Abakarov forfeited to Sharipov in the finals. Despite the forfeit, Abakarov jumps to #13 in the rankings after taking out Dauletbekov on his way to the finals. Though he lost, Dauletbekov holds his spot above Abakarov based on his wins over Myles Amine, Arslan Bagaev, and Alireza Karimi.
