2019-20 NCAA D1 Dual Rankings
Top 25 NCAA D1 Dual Meet Rankings
Dual season is upon us in college wrestling which means we had to do one thing...drop dual rankings. Before getting mad online, let me explain how we put this top 25 together. Results. All results. If the dual happened we counted the result. It doesn't matter who was or wasn't in the lineup. I could play the what-if game all day, but I'm not going to do it.
Nothing changes at the top as the first six ranked teams went a combined 9-0 over the weekend. Oklahoma State jumps Pitt as the Cowboys easily handled Pitt in Stillwater and the Panthers settle in behind Wisconsin since the Badgers have a better win (Nebraska) than Pitt has (Lehigh).
#11-13 stays the same, but #15-20 looks significantly different. Minnesota's win over Wisconsin had been what kept them in the top 15, but a loss to a then unranked Michigan team sends them down. Rider picked up their fifth straight dual win and the Broncs finally move to where they probably should have been last week. Rider jumps Cornell since the Big Red lost to Minnesota at South Beach Duals and also jump Army and Purdue because their win over Minnesota is better than any win the Black Knights or Boilermakers boast.
Michigan also jumps into the rankings ahead of Minnesota after beating the Golden Gophers this past weekend. Iowa State also makes their rankings debut after going into Frost Arena and snapping South Dakota State's five dual win streak. This also moves Campbell up a few spots as the Camels own a win over the Cyclones.
With the addition of Michigan and Iowa State, UNI and Missouri fall out the top 25.
We'll update these rankings weekly through the end of the regular season. If you have questions, feedback, or insults please send them to kyle.bratke@flosports.tv
