2019-20 NCAA D1 Dual Rankings

Top 25 NCAA D1 Dual Meet Rankings

Before getting mad online, let me explain how we put this top 25 together. Results. All results. If the dual happened we counted the result. It doesn't matter who was or wasn't in the lineup. I could play the what-if game all day, but I'm not going to do it.

The biggest shake-up of the week came when North Carolina rolled previously undefeated and then #2 Virginia Tech. The Tar Heels already owned three top 19 wins (Michigan, Princeton, Army) so with the win, they take a big jump into the top five. Despite the loss to #11 Stanford, I believe the Tar Heels have a better resume than NC State at the moment. Don't forget the two rivals will square off next Friday in Raleigh.

Virginia Tech drops five spots just ahead of Oklahoma State who drops one spot themselves after losing to Northern Iowa. The Hokies and Cowboy's strong resume and wins keep them from falling farther. The only other change in the top 17 is Stanford jumping Nebraska. The Cardinal own a win over North Carolina and with the Tar Heels big win over Virginia Tech, is now better than the Cornhuskers best win, Northern Iowa.

The toughest team to rank this week was without a doubt Northern Iowa. The Panthers picked up a huge win over Oklahoma State Saturday night, but also currently have no other ranked wins. They also have a loss to last week's #25 team, South Dakota State. After comparing resumes though, UNI's win over Oklahoma State outweighs their loss to the Jackrabbits and SDSU also has a loss to Binghamton. The Panther Train returns to the ranks at #20 just ahead of Minnesota who lost to the same Oklahoma State team that UNI beat.

We'll update these rankings weekly through the end of the regular season. If you have questions, feedback, or insults please send them to kyle.bratke@flosports.tv
