2020-21 NCAA D1 Dual Rankings
Top 25 NCAA D1 Dual Meet Rankings
Last season when I began doing dual rankings, I said I would be basing them on, "Results. All results. If the dual happened we counted the result. It doesn't matter who was or wasn't in the lineup. I could play the what-if game all day, but I'm not going to do it."
While the #1 criteria is still head-to-head dual wins, and I will not be discounting results just because teams are missing wrestlers, but in this unique season teams have not wrestled the same amount of duals as others. For example, Missouri has already wrestled and won nine duals while Penn State has only wrestled twice. Because of that, for teams with no resume or small bodies of work, the number of NCAA qualifiers or ranked wrestlers were weighed heavily. Now, let's get into it...
NC State picked up their third dominant ranked win of the season and jumps into the top three. Missouri also jumps Penn State as the Tigers have been utterly dominant and have three ranked wins as well. Penn State didn't look great in their debut, but will still have plenty of opportunity to move back up with Iowa and Ohio State still on the schedule.
Oklahoma State and Virginia Tech jump Nebraska after picking up ranked wins over the weekend and remaining undefeated.
Minnesota and Virginia take jumps after beating Purdue and Pittsburgh.
Northern Colorado takes a tumble after losing to West Virginia and the Mountaineers make their top 25 debut.
Stanford falls out after losing to unranked South Dakota State which opens up the door for Wyoming to return to the rankings directly behind Northern Colorado who beat the Cowboys earlier this year.
