2021-22 NCAA DI Rankings
The Open Schroder
We will try to keep things succinct as there was an avalanche of relevant results that affected rankings this week. Most, but not all, the major results came from the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational.
Schroder beat Kaylor who beat Heinselman who then pulled out of the consolation rounds due to injuries. Kaylor is held back due to an earlier loss to Jaret Lane in week 1.
Latona continues his rough start to the season. He lost to both Noah Surtin and Brody Teske. Both are excellent wrestlers but the results are unexpected given Latona's breakout performance in 2021 where he played 6th at NCAAs.
Back in Vegas, Tanner Jordan lost to Jace Koelzer and Antonio Lorenzo, dropping into the HMs which allowed Lorenzo to make his rankings debut.
Jake Ferri also makes his first appearance thanks to a solid CKLV. Luke Werner returns to the top 33, though he was not in Vegas.
Finally, Jack Medley picked up some big wins at the CKLV, beating Joe Manchio and the aforementioned Lorenzo, however, we're assuming Nick Suriano will be starting for the Wolverines in the second semester and as such, have him in the rankings instead of Medley, who would otherwise slot in at #15.
