2021-22 NCAA DI Rankings
Anne of Green Gable Steveson
Spencer's impending (or completed, depending on when you're reading this) knee surgery will end his season and his reign as the P4P #1 college wrestler in the nation. For now, anyway. Co-Hodge Trophy winner Gable Steveson moves up to claim the spot outright.
We've also moved Myles Amine above Michael Kemerer, as we are still waiting for the latter to make his season debut, whereas the former recently won the Illinois Matmen Open.
Finally, Max Dean makes his return to the P4P rankings. He's undefeated on the season and looks to have solidified his hold on the starting job at 197 in State College.
Please also note, (we're begging you to note this) P4P rankings involve slightly different criteria than individual weight-class rankings. P4P weights career accomplishments and dominance more heavily and are less prone to seasonal fluctuations. They are more robust, if you will. So do not be surprised if a wrestler is placed above another wrestler in P4P, but below the same wrestler in the weight-class rankings. It happens!
