2021-22 Dan Hodge Trophy Rankings
As a reminder, the Dan Hodge Trophy has set criteria to determine who the winner should be. The criteria are below in order of importance:
Record
Number of pins
Dominance
Past credentials
Quality of competition
Sportsmanship/citizenship
Heart
All of the pitch count haters can rejoice. Gable Steveson had to be punished for his inactivity at some point, and today's the day. Now, if he starts wrestling in duals again and dominating, he could jump ahead of Keegan once again. However, with only two matches so far in the season, Keegan O'Toole has done enough to earn the top spot at this point in time.
After further consideration, I should have bumped Aaron Brooks and Carter Starocci ahead of Jaydin Eierman after Collegiate Duals, but better late than never. Mason Parris also comes up with them.
Sebastian Rivera is the big mover in this week's rankings going from 19 to 7. The Rutgers senior managed to maintain his 100% bonus rate en route to an IL Matmen title. Also picking up Matmen titles were DJ Hamiti and Trent Hillger. The Wisconsin Badgers fill out the top 25 with the exit of Spencer Lee and Clay Carlson.
