2022-23 NCAA D1 Dual Rankings
Team Dual Rankings
The first dual rankings of the year! We established the below rankings by factoring in last year’s results with changes in each team’s lineup. For instance, Michigan went 12-1 in duals last year and finished the season ranked #3. However, they graduated six starters so fall considerably in the rankings.
Penn State is clearly the top team returning 4 national champions and 5 total All-Americans. On top of that, the Nittany Lions went 17-0 in dual meet competition with head-to-head wins over Cornell, Arizona State, Michigan, Iowa, and Ohio State in the 2021-22 season.
The #2-#6 spots are very close on paper with Iowa, Missouri, Ohio State, Cornell, and Arizona State all manning strong dual squads. Any one of these teams has the potential to challenge Penn State for the top spot this year.
After those first 6 teams, we should expect to see a lot of movement throughout the top 25 this year. These dual rankings will be based solely on dual results for the season and won’t take into account starters missing a dual for injury, sickness, or any other reason.
