After finishing seventh at the NCAA Championships in 2021, Killian Cardinale won the Big 12 title last year at 125 pounds before falling in the round of 12 at the national tournament, one win shy of earning All-American status again. Trevor Mastrogiovanni was able to avenge previous losses to both Joey Prata and Kysen Terukina, along with a win over Noah Surtin at the Big 12 and NCAA tournaments. Surtin had a strong season for the Tigers as picked up wins over Prata and Terukina and finished in the round of 12 at the national tournament. Prata lost the most recent matchup with Mastrogiovanni at the Big 12 tournament and defeated Terukina in the dual against Iowa State to claim the #4 ranking in a loaded 125-pound weight class.
