NCAA Rankings 2017-18
133: Gross Sitting Pretty
Seth Gross completes the season undefeated at 133 pounds and almost certainly locks up a top seed for the NCAAs.
The EIWAs caused some movement, as unranked Chaz Tucker upset Austin DeSanto in the semis. Scott Parker then beat Tucker after dispatching Josh Terao in the semifinals.
Over in the ACC, Dennis Gustafson peaked at the right time, taking out Tariq Wilson in the semis and then upsetting Jack Mueller in the finals to climb up to #8.
In the Big Tens, Dylan Duncan put on a display in the consolation rounds, beating #17 Jason Renteria and #12 Mitch McKee to re-enter the top 20 at #14. Scott DelVecchio could not get by Jason Renteria for the third time this season and drops out of the rankings due to a lack of top 20 wins, though he is still very much a threat at the NCAAs.
