2019-20 NCAA DI Rankings
141 Pletcher in the Rye
Luke Pletcher reversed the result from his dual meet match against Nick Lee, winning the Big Ten title and moving into the #1 spot in the rankings.
Max Murin lost to Mitch McKee and Chad Red and drops a couple spots. Tristan Moran outplaced Murin and McKee, but was aided by a more favorable draw and a medical forfeit by McKee in the consolation semifinals. He also has a loss to Michael Blockhus from the last week of the regular season, who lost to Dylan Droegemueller at Big 12s. Ian Parker beat Droegemueller in Tulsa, so Moran slides behind him to #7. Parker also beat Dom Demas to claim the Big 12 title at 141.
Blockhus has a strong enough resume (including that win over Moran) to keep him from falling very far after the upset loss. Droegemueller also beat DJ Lloren. Droegemueller doesn't quite have the results to get him in the top 25 yet, though he is close. Lloren conversely has a recent win over Dylan Duncan, which keeps him in place.
Elsewhere at the MAC Championships, Grant Leeth and Sa'Derian Perry beat Kyle Shop, and Shakur Laney lost to Leeth and Anthony Gibson, causing a shakeup of all of their respective rankings.
Finally, Zach Sherman beat Tariq Wilson, allowing Sherman to leapfrog Wilson in the rankings.
