Two new wrestlers from Uzbekistan enter the rankings at 57kg - Gulmjon Abdullaev and Makmudjon Shavkatov. They took gold and bronze respectively at the Outstanding Ukrainian tournament in February. Abdullaev’s notable wins on his way to the finals were over Taras Markovych (UKR) and formerly ranked Aryan Tiutrin (BLR). Shavkatov beat Markovych to take bronze. His more impressive win of the tournament was over European Gold medalist, Makhir Amiraslanov (AZE).

Other notable results at 57kg came from the Matteo Pellicone tournament in Italy. There, #12 Nurislam Sanayev won gold by defeating Nick Suriano twice (4-2, 3-2). Suriano defeated an experienced Givi Davidovi on his way to finals and medaled at his second international tournament in 2021.
