74 Razembek Zhamalov

Minor changes in the rankings at 74kg but the major result was Russia’s new contender, #1 Razambek Zhamalov, defeating multiple-time world champion, Frank Chamizo. Zhamalov won the World Cup on a last second takedown. That win proves he will not only threaten to win the right to represent Russian at the Olympics, but also challenge to win gold in Tokyo. 

The only change at 74kg results from Magomedkhabib Kadimagomedov (BLR) being removed from the rankings for continuing to compete at 79kg. Because of his removal, Azamat Nurykau takes the #20 spot. Nurykau has fairly recent wins over #14 Isaiah Martinez and #8 Timur Bizhoev and has taken 5th at the World Championships three times.
