Horwath, a University of Michigan commit, is No. 6 in the current national 126-pound rankings and captured his third state title this season. He finished the season 30-0 and boasts a 100-2 career mark. Horwath has beaten Dundee's Braeden Davis, also a three-time state champion, twice by one point this season. Davis, a Penn State commit is No. 3 nationally at 120 and No. 1 in Michigan at 119.
No. 15 on the Class of 2023 Big Board, Horwath finished eighth in Fargo for All-American honors despite losing his final two matches by injury default. Earlier this month, he beat Ohio's Marcus Blaze, ranked No. 9 nationally at 120, at Beat The Streets Detroit Gala.
