2020-21 Minnesota High School Rankings
2020-21 Minnesota High School Rankings: 106
The 2020-2021 Minnesota state high school rankings have evolved into an aggregated set of rankings, meaning that Class A, AA, and AAA are all combined into one, with 12 wrestlers ranked at each weight class.
The 106-pound weight class is always a big question mark each season. Which 106 contenders will stay down at the weight class? Who are the new kids on the block to challenge them and make a name for themselves?
The top returner here is undefeated state champion and U15 world champ, Tyler Wells.
Behind Wells is STMA junior and first-year starter, Caleb Thoennes. Thoennes is a previous Fargo national champion.
Other first-year starters at this weight include Peyton Spychalla of Simley and Logan Swensen of Wayzata. Swensen was an MNGWL state champ a year ago at just 88 pounds. If size isn’t a problem for Swensen, watch for him to climb the ranks this season.
