As the defending 2021 86kg world champion, Hassan Yazdani is sitting as the #1 ranked wrestler in this field and also currently holds the #1 seed. Taylor and Yazdani are huge favorites to meet in the finals in what would be their fifth head-to-head meeting in the last 5 years - Taylor holds the series lead at 3-1.

After Taylor and Yazdani, the field is fairly wide open for the remaining bronze medals. Myles Amine, returning Tokyo bronze medalist, looks to be the favorite for one of those bronze after his gold medal performance at the 2022 European Championships.
