2022 World Championship Rankings - Men's Freestyle
74 - Kyle Dake
Kyle Dake made his 5th straight world/Olympic team by defeating Jason Nolf in two-straight matches at Final X NYC. As the defending world champion, Dake will be the favorite to win world gold in September, especially considering both Zaurbek Sidakov and Magomedkhabib Kadimagomedov won’t be competing because of Russia and Belarus’ ban from worlds.
Even with their absence, Dake’s biggest challenge will likely come once again from Taijmuraz Salkazanov - the 2021 world silver medalist. Salkazanov has been on an impressive run and won two rankings series events in June. On top of that, Salkazanov also won the European Championships in March where he notably defeated Frank Chamizo in the finals.
