.post-content img { padding: 10px; } Pennsylvania's Jarod Verkleeren became the United State's second Cadet Men's Freestyle world champion Sunday afternoon. It was quite the improvement for Verkleeren who finished 16th at last years Cadet World Championships. Verkleeren dominated on his way to the title outscoring his opponents 51-5, and only giving up points to his semifinal opponent.

.post-content img { padding: 10px; }New York native Yianni Diakomihalis became the United States second Cadet World champion this week joining Ronna Heaton. Yianni was dominant and impressive throughout his run to the gold medal.
**YIANNI'S GOLD MEDAL MATCH HERE**
4: 42kg Gold Medal Match: I expect the 42kg final to be very competitive between two guys that have shown they are elite competitors in this age division. Ivan Okoneshnikov of Russia has cruised to the final only giving up a single point. His opponent Amirmohammad Yazdanicherati hasn’t been so fortunate. He knocked off two medalists from the European Championships in the first two rounds. In the second round Kara Dogan had Yazdanicherati down 8-2 when the Iranian youngster stormed back to win, 11-8. In his semi-final he outlast Nurakhmet of Kyrgyzstan 7-7. I can’t see how this match could possibly disappoint.

A few months after tweeting the Russian Cadet Freestyle team line-up, a "Russian insider" has tweeted a picture of the team heading to Bosnia for the World Championships.

With Cadet Worlds just around the corner we decided to take a look back, and see the past five years of results for Cadet Worlds Freestyle.
Now that the Junior World Championships are completed there is only one event left before our Seniors take the mat. The Cadet World Championships will be beginning next week starting on Tuesday, August 25th. Team USA will be sending the following representatives to compete in Bosnia. Our own Willie Saylor will be making the trip to Bosnia to bring you every United States match.
