Ranked #3 in the country at 126, Horwath, a future Michigan Wolverine, is seeking a fourth Division 1 state championship this season after going 30-0 last season, including 20 pins.
Horwath boasts a 100-2 high school record, 57-0 the past two seasons, including multiple wins over three-time Division 3 state champion and 2021 Fargo winner Braeden Davis of Dundee (#4, 126). Horwath, #21 on the Class of 2023 Big Board, recently won the 130-pound Grappler Fall Classic title, beating two-time Georgia state champion Amantee Mills along with way.
In July, Horwath become a Fargo All-American for the third time, placing second in Junior Freestyle, 120-pound competition. Horwath was also a Super 32 champion in 2020.
