The return to competition by Navy senior Jared Prince has been a welcome surprise late in the season. The Midshipman had a win over Ethan Karsten and a loss to Parker Kropman going into his match with Larry Early. Prince won, but that limited body of work is not enough to earn a ranking just yet. 

Early stays in the rankings but falls below Justin Ruffin, who has also defeated him this year. Early has a win over BC LaPrade and a loss to Jarrett Jacques, and settles in above Jacques and below LaPrade in what is known as the ranker's equilibrium.

Anthony Artalona falls in tandem with Early, as Early beat Artalona the last time Artalona took the mat on January 10. Artalona also has losses to Matt Zovistoski and Logan Parks, which causes him to fall one more spot behind Parks. Artalona's win over Justin Ruffin keeps him from falling behind Zovistoski as well.
