65 - Takuto Otoguro

Yianni Diakomihalis won the 65kg spot for Team USA and slides in at #7. Yianni does have past wins over #2 Musukaev and #9 Punia but most recently lost to #6 Tevanyan at the 2021 World Championships. Tevanyan spent a few competitions up at 70kg but returned back to 65kg in June winning the Takhti Cup and defeating Tokyo Olympian Morteza Ghiasi (IRI) for gold. 

Also of not, Tulga Tumur-Ochir won the Bolat Turlkhanov Cup in Kazakhstan with a win over Abbos Rakhmonov in the finals. Also at that tournament, Rakhmonov defeated Bajrang Punia in the quarterfinals, 5-3.
