2022-23 NCAA DI Rankings

It should be noted that only folkstyle results against collegiate wrestlers are factored into the rankings, so true freshmen with no relevant results will not appear in the rankings, and redshirt freshmen with few relevant results will not appear as high as some may be expecting.
Cal Poly's most accomplished returning wrestler, three-time qualifier and two-time All-American Bernie Truax, is moving up a weight class. He'll be favored to make the podium a third time, but he'll have plenty of competition, as the most volatile weight class of 2021-22 returns nearly all of last year's talent.
Right below Truax slots Michael Beard, who transferred from the Nittany Lions to intrastate rivals Lehigh where the All-American is back in the starting lineup.
Also joining the fray this season is Ethan Laird, who comes off redshirt where he wrestled mostly at 285, and Zac Braunagel, who, like Truax, is moving up from 184.
Moving down from heavyweight is Luke Surber, who performed admirably for the Cowboys last season. U20 world-teamer and redshirt freshman Jaxon Smith is in for the Terps, and Janzer returns to the Rutgers lineup after Bulsak exhausted his eligibility.
