2022-23 Ohio Division II High School Rankings
120 pounds
We have a new #1 after a massive upset in the Norwalk district! Unranked Harding of Galion took out Ohl in the district finals to give himself the #1 ranking. Ohl only fell one spot after the 3-1 overtime defeat. I am sure wrestling fans hope to see this rematch in a week. Norwalk had several ranked wrestlers showing out. Ohl took out #10 Nemitz in the semi-finals and then #9 Moreno of Wauseon before Moreno would finish in third place.
Wilmington had a strong showing in the 120 weight class. #3 Curry took home the title after an impressive 8-1 win over #4 Lalezas, who was ranked above him during the regular season. He also beat #5 Moreland, who also beat #8 Colten Ryan of Graham, who finished in fourth at the tough Wilmington district.
