The Steubenville district had some crazy results right out of the gate. Shaw lost to Fulgham in the second round, but Shaw would get the match back in the third-place showdown. Shaw had to take out the previous top five Trevor Banks on the backside of the bracket. Banks moved down to #10, and Shaw will slide in at #4 with Fulgham right behind him. Pletcher was another storyline from the strong district out placing Fulgham at sectionals and districts to deserve the #3 spot.

In other districts, Griffith would lose extremely early in the bracket and bounce back to make it to state. However, Blair would perform better in the top half, so that is the reason he will jump Griffith heading into the state tournament.
