Kyle Snyder (USA) takes the No. 1 spot after beating Abdulrashid Sadulaev (RUS) in the 97kg world finals. Sadulaev drops down one spot to No. 2 in the pound-for-pound rankings, which he gets to keep due to his exceptional resume and body of work. Geno Petriashvili (GEO) jumps eight spots to No. 5 in the rankings after beating former No. 3 Taha Akgul (TUR) in the 125kg world finals. Vladimir Khinchegashvili (GEO) drops six spots to No. 8 after a loss to No. 10 Gadzhimurad Rashidov (RUS) in the world quarterfinals at 61kg. Taha Akgul (TUR) drops six spots to No. 9 following a loss to Geno Petriashvili (GEO) in the 125 kg world finals. Gadzhimurad Rashidov (RUS) joins the top 10 at No. 10 after beating Vladimir Khinchegashvili (GEO) and Logan Stieber (USA) to make the world finals against No. 3 Haji Aliyev (AZE). Khetik Tsabolov (RUS) jumps up 12 spots to No. 23 in the rankings after dominant wins over No. 20 Soner Demirtas (TUR) and Jabryail Hasanov (AZE) on his way to a runner-up finish to No. 4 Jordan Burroughs (USA). Zurab Yakobashvili (GEO), the 65kg world champion, debuts in the pound-for-pound rankings at No. 21. Yuki Takahashi, who won the 57kg world title, debuts in the rankings at No. 23.
