2019 International Rankings - Men's Freestyle
74 KG Zaurbek Sidakov (RUS)
No changes among the top 4 studs, but Kurbanaliev's unlikely run to a Russian Nationals title allows him to crack the top 5. 2018 world champ Gazimagomedov was one of Kurbanaliev's RusNats conquests, as was 2014 gold and 2017 silver world medalist Tsabalov. Impressive stuff from the Dagestani dynamo.
Kadimagomedov defeated Tsabalov at the Stepan Sargsyan, which moved him into the top 10 and added to the recent woes of Tsabalov. Tsabalov did beat the ranked Bizhoev at RusNats, so it wasn't all bad news for the Ossetian.
Kentchadze lost to Khadjiev, though Khadjiev lost to Byambadorj, so no one was affected too much by those results. Meanwhile, Isaiah Martinez has quietly amassed an impressive hit list, which includes Burroughs, Byambadorj, Erbotsonashvili (ranked at 79) and Afzali (Iran's 2019 world team rep).
Sleeper pick for Nur-Sultan Taimuraz Salkazanov, a Slovakian by way of Russia, picked up a win over Gor. The Ossetian native has the potential to do serious damage in Kazakhstan.
