At sectionals, former #10 Ripke outplaced Abe DeLano taking over the #1 spot. However, we would see a rematch in the district finals between Ripke and DeLano. DeLano would take the match back taking his #1 ranking back. However, Ripke still had a big jump and is clearly a title threat heading into the final weekend. #4 Sparks was also in the Rossford district finishing in third place after losing to DeLano in the quarterfinals.  

Troy was another fun district, with #7 Burkett taking home the title. An upset from the district was Drake Bennett of Miami East beating #9 Pummel to jump him in the rankings. In the long run, Burkett would beat Bennet in the district finals. Finally, #3 Sell would pin #6 McKenzie in their district matchup.
