Meet the Champions:

1A:    Brock Smith - Riverdale, Junior 48-1

2A:    Kannon Webster - Washington, Junior 48-1

3A:    Nasir Bailey - Rich Township, Junior 41-0

With a multi-class system, there will be some weights where it is not possible to determine who should hold the #1 spot and this is one of those weights. Bailey (#2 nationally at 132) and Webster (#6 nationally at 132) are two of the best wrestlers in the country and are both coming off exceptional seasons.  Bailey remains in the top spot based on the national rankings and winning Ironman, but this is not to say that Webster is not equally as deserving with the body of work he has put forth. Regardless of who holds the top spot, this weight showcases the depth that Illinois offers on the national stage and we are lucky to have both of these athletes as representatives.

Not to be left out, Brock Smith is coming off an exceptional season of his own and finds himself high on the list in another exceptionally deep weight class.

Other storylines from 132 include Guerra capping off a very impressive run with a victory over Meiszner for his third-place finish.
