Meet the Champions

1A:   Jadon Mims - IC  Catholic, Senior 26-3

2A:   Jack Weltha - Bloomington, Senior 35-3

3A:   Andrew Forst-Blackburn - Lockport, Senior 35-5

Forst-Blackburn started the year holding the #1 spot and will finish in the same position capping his season with a 3A state title. Ghee and Thomas who were also highly ranked finish near the top of the podium in 3A as well.

In 2A, Weltha took home the top spot with a win over Sommers handing the Waterloo standout his lone defeat of the season.

Mims continued IC Catholic's very impressive tournament adding a 1A state title by edging Gabe Kaminski of Nazareth in the finals.

Other storylines from 220 include finalist Gabe Kaminski of Nazareth being the only Freshman to qualify for state at this weight in any class.
