2022-23 Ohio Division I High School Rankings
106 pounds
In the heart of the postseason, there were, of course, some shakeups at 106 but also some predictable results. Timar remains solid as he wins the Perrysburg district. He was finally tested by home crowd wrestler Dodd only losing 4-3 in the semi-final round. He bounced back to place third, looking sharp for the state tournament. Mentor's Hahn was in the brutal Hoover district, so he failed to make it out to state with #2 Seacrist taking home that title.
Hilliard Darby was the most dramatic, with Williams of Olentangy Liberty taking home the title, taking out former top-five Mokros in the finals. Blankenhorn also fell to Williams by a significant decision in the semi-final round before finishing in third place.
