2022-23 Ohio Division I High School Rankings

The Hoover district was incredible this past weekend. Five of the top 10 wrestlers were in one bracket, with another former top 10 in there. New #10 Sharpley missed the top four but would avenge a loss from earlier in the bracket over former #10 Plotts in the 5th place match. Consider Plotts honorary #11. Hoover saw #1 vs. #2 ending with #1 Joy winning a 10-1 major decision. The third-place match saw #3 D'Alessandro win 9-6 over #5 Blackburn. However, drawing someone from this district must be ready to go right out of the gate at the state tournament.
Outside of Hoover, Holden Huhn dropped back down to 132 to win the Kettering district and slot in #6 in the rankings. He beat #9 McCall in the district finals 12-0 major decision. Next, Wyatt Moore bumped up his ranking by a spot winning the Hilliard Darby district with a 14-3 major decision. Finally, #4 Brown and #7 Evans met in the district quarterfinals, where Brown walked away with the win. He would also go on to win the tournament, with Evans placing third.
