2022-23 Ohio Division I High School Rankings

Heading into the Hoover district, heavyweight fans knew it would steal the show, and the bracket did not disappoint. Ries is a Fargo champ and former #1 at the weight after taking out Fockler, a Central Michigan commit. However, former #3 Andrews won a 3-1 sudden victory match over Ries in the semi-final. Fockler would be the overall champ winning over Andrews 7-2. Heading into the state tournament, Fockler will take the #1 spot back over.
Thurston will be the new #10 after beating former ranked wrestler Fleet in the Hilliard Darby district final. Ngoh also jumped a spot after beating Stuerenberg, who was ranked above him heading into district weeks. Ngoh would win 4-2 in sudden victory in an excellent match. Finally, Gregory of St. Edward's proved his #4 ranking after defeating #8 Dye and #7 Woodi to win the Perrysburg district.
