Kleinberg of Springboro takes over as the new #2 after taking out former #2 Harney of Sycamore in their district finals. Kleinberg won the match by a slim margin, 1-0. #9 Martin was also in this field and lost to Harney in the semi-finals. He also dropped a match to the new #8 Guerra of Lebanon, who also lost to Harney. #1 Denkins remains strong, winning his home court district in Perrysburg, 8-3, over #4 Eaton of St. Edward.
Former #10 Zambounis punched his ticket to the state tournament after losing round one at the Hoover district. He took fourth, losing to Beck of Mayfield, who will be the new #10 at 150. Keirn and Giltz were expected to wrestle in the Hoover district final, but Keirn defaulted to Giltz, so their rankings will hold, and hopefully, we will see the match at the state tournament.
